And when KStew returned to slip back into the character of Bella Swan, she found the vampire-loving teen had a new sense of purpose.

Twilight Saga Teaches Teenagers About Healthy Relationships.

Fans are rabid for the Twilight series. The books are best sellers and the Twilight sequel New Moon broke records at the box office last year. Wednesday, Planned Parenthood of the Heartland used the vampire romance as a teaching tool for teenagers.

"It's a love story that pretty much any teenage girl would want," says 16-year-old Nikki Good who has read all four books and seen both movies. The high school junior got hooked on the love story between Bella and Edward. "She's just your typical teenage girl and he's the guy that every girl dreams of. I'm a huge fan," she says.

"Fantasy and reality kinda mix a little bit, but a lot of the things that happen in the books could happen in real life and do happen," says health educator Jenn Morton. More than 30 teachers, social workers and other who work with youth discussed the series adult themes like identifying healthy and unhealthy relationships. "Really it's about adults being able to talk to those kids about those things and then impress their own values," says Morton.





Planned Parenthood of the Heartland will hold another training session just for parents. It is scheduled for June before the release of Eclipse, the latest movie in the series. For more information, call the Education and Resource Center at 1-800-874-2525.

Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner are the two heartthrobs of Vampire flick Twilight. This week it was reported that R-Pattz has been loading himself up with Nandos chicken meals just so he can bulk himself up to match Lautner’s torso. In a head to head dual, who will win?

Both leading men have a body most women would die for. Taylor may only be 18-years-old but his muscular six-pack is far beyond his years.
Pattinson may have a good body but he doesn’t have the tan that Lautner has or the defined torso.

Interview With Melissa Rosenberg on New Moon, Eclipse, and Breaking Dawn's Potential MPAA Rating

Laremy Legel: When I talked to you for Twilight you were just dipping your toes into the fandom, and what it was all about. Do you check fan sites these days?

Melissa Rosenberg: I stay off the Internet, because I'm very sensitive to commentary. There could be 10 comments of "Fabulous job!" and one "She's horrible!" and it completely throws me. When you're writing you're constantly fighting demons to sit down and do what you do. If you listen to the voices outside your head, in addition to the ones inside your head, you'll never get anything done. There's enough inner strife.

I do, however, maintain a fan site, where people are mostly kind. It's interesting reading their comments, because they talk about what's important to them, what things really register, what things I need to capture. So I do rely on that.
Melissa Rosenberg is a busy woman. In the past few years she's adapted three parts of The Twilight Saga for the screen, all the while writing and producing for the hit Showtime series Dexter. How does she balance her life and work? What can we expect from Breaking Dawn? And what's the difference between the three directors she's worked with on Twilight, New Moon, and Eclipse? All those answers and more in our exclusive interview.

LL: I think your writing has amazing range; from Dexter to Twilight is a pretty big distance. But do you worry about being locked into a particular genre? Do screenwriters get typecast? Or does that not happen?

MR: Oh, it happens all the time. You become the "teen voice" writer. Studios, because they are investing a great deal of money in movies, they want a guarantee that when they hire somebody that person can deliver for them. Everything is fear based, so they pigeonhole people. But I've written everything, from Westerns to sci-fi to dramedy, I've done it all. I have my strengths and my weaknesses, and the things I prefer not to do, but like most writers I can do, and like to do, a variety of things.

I'm sure I'll be offered all sorts of romantic teen dramas as I move forward, because I've now written plenty of them, and I won't be doing that again. It's not of interest me. I do lean more towards doing different kinds of things.

Even though The Twilight Saga: Eclipse is nearly three months away from its theatrical release, the Twilight series cast has been out and about in full force doing interviews and appearances.

At the Yotam Solomon’s Fashion Event this weekend, Young Hollywood caught up with New Moon and Eclipse star Nikki Reed ("Rosalie Hale" in the series) and asked her a few questions about her style choices for the evening.
Reed also talked about her current interests, which include traveling and learning the Greek and Spanish languages.

Eclipse Will Bring Back The Blue Hue.

Months ago, we had a great discussion about the possibility that The Twilight Saga: Eclipse's hue might be a little more gray than the prior films.

The idea that the film would be primarily grayish or reddish in color then stemmed from a look at some of David Slade's prior work - particularly Hard Candy and 30 Days Of Night. That and the fact that The Twilight Saga: New Moon's gold tones began a new trend of mixed color schemes for these varying films. Later, when the title art and first movie poster for the film were revealed, the use of gray became undoubtable.

In fact, Kristen Stewart revealed to MTV News on the red carpet of the NYC screening of "New Moon" on Thursday (November 19) that even she can't wait to see the intense mess play out in next year's "Eclipse."

"I'm looking forward to seeing the love triangle actually becoming a problem," she said. "We sort of innocently touch on it in 'New Moon,' but it actually becomes something that is very, very real."

Taylor Lautner Focused on Eclipse

Twilight star Taylor Lautner says he isn’t sure about how he’ll tackle the tricky developments in his character’s life that happen in the fourth book, Breaking Dawn.

The actor — who is currently in Vancouver, Canada, shooting the third Twi movie Eclipse — plays Jacob Black in the films based on the books by author Stephenie Meyer.

“I’m sure it would be different,” Taylor said. “It was definitely a surprise for me when I read the book.

“But we’re just trying to take it one movie at a time, and nothing’s been confirmed yet on the fourth, so we’re just staying focused on Eclipse at the moment.”

Taylor — who goes shirtless in several scenes in Twilight sequel New Moon, due out in November — recently revealed that he finds it “weird” when his family sees the topless pics taken to promote the upcoming films.

“It’s embarrassing for me,” he said. “And I’m sure it’s awkward for all of them. I’m hoping that [I don't get teased by my family] because I’ll start blushing.”
